15th August - UPDATE

The village 'After 8' women's group held their summer tea party last weekend and raised funds which they have donated to the Lidlington Action Group to support this campaign. On behalf of the committee members on the Lidlington Action Group, we would like to publically thank the After 8 Group and its members for this much appreciated support.

19th July - UPDATE

The public consultation on O&H's application to build 5,000 houses here closed today. We registered 308 objections which is getting on for a third of the adult population of Lidlington. Well done to everyone who contributed to that number and thanks to Lidlington Shopltd for allowing the drop box in the shop. We are waiting now for the programme for the Planning Inspector's examination of CBC's Local Plan which we expect to start in October.

The BBC visit the village.

23rd Feb - We challenge O & H

O & H hold their public engagement in our Village Hall. We do our best to make our position clear with a large tractor parked outside (Thanks to Mike Philips) There was a lot of anger in the Hall when residents viewed the plans. One couple who have been living here for many years face their house and land being surrounded by Business Parks, and they are by no means the only ones to find their views, way of life and peace and quiet threatened. William Joce - Parliamentary Assistant to Nadine Dorries attended and heard first hand the opinions of residents and the Action Group. Watch this space for the response from Nadine.
